I am not sure if this is for a new album or a unreleased track? As soon as I get more information I will definitely let you know. But for now let Ms. Hill do her thing. Enjoy the track!

Ok I know this is messed up. When I first saw this I laughed, but this was wrong on so many levels. It amazes me every time when I see crazy stuff like this.

One strike and she was out.

A black employee who resigned from the Agriculture Department on Monday said the White House forced her out after remarks that she says have sparked a fabricated racial controversy.

Shirley Sherrod, the former Georgia director of Rural Development, said she received a phone call from the USDA’s deputy undersecretary Cheryl Cook on Monday while she was in a car. Cook told her that the White House wanted her to call it quits.

“They called me twice,” Sherrod told the Associated Press. “The last time they asked me to pull over the side of the road and submit my resignation on my Blackberry, and that’s what I did.”

The controversy began after several media organizations posted a 38-second video clip of Sherrod speaking to a local Georgia chapter of the NAACP. She tells the group that she did not give a white farmer “the full force of what I could do” after he asked for assistance.

The video surfaced days after the NAACP quarreled with Tea Party members over allegations of racism.

Sherrod said her statements were taken out of context.

“My point in telling that story is that working with him helped me to see that it wasn’t a black and white issue,” she said. Sherrod added that the episode took place in 1986 before she worked for the Agriculture Department.

Sherrod said that she eventually became friends with the farmer and worked with him for two years to help him avoid foreclosure.

The woman who says she is the wife of the farmer referenced in the clip told CNN Sherrod helped her family save their farm. Eloise Spooner described Sherrod as “getting in there and doing all she could do to help us.”

President of the national NAACP, Benjamin Todd Jealous, supported the resignation, saying the organization has a zero-tolerance policy.

“According to her remarks, she mistreated a white farmer in need of assistance because of his race,” he said in a statement before Sherrod’s explanation.

“We are appalled by her actions, just as we are with abuses of power against farmers of color and female farmers.”

Riddle Me This?

For those that may or may not know me I am a BIG comic book head. I have had many comic book conversations with friends about the Riddler and I always felt that the Riddler was a Joker knock off. If you watch any cartoons or read any of the books you will see many similarities between the two characters. I really wanted to see The Penguin comeback for the second time. I guess also when I think of the Riddler I am haunted by the earlier Batman film with Tommy Lee Jones as Two Face. Ugh! But I will say if Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays the Riddler in a dark and disturbing way he may make me have a change of heart.- Clayton

Fans have been hungry for reliable info on Batman 3, but while presumed director Christopher Nolan finished his latest movie, Inception, he was reluctant to talk about the third film in his Batman series. Now that Inception is out and making money, it’s time for Batman 3 to kick into gear. Accordingly, we’ve got some new info: Nolan’s cinematographer Wally Pfister talks about ambitious desires for the use of IMAX in the third film.

And, probably more important to most of you, is a report, a bit more reliable than most, that says at least one of the villains in the film will be the Riddler, with Joseph Gordon-Levitt a prime candidate to play him.
There have been rumors of a JGL Riddler in the Batman sequel for some time. Today, FirstShowing got info from a source with a studio casting grid for Batman 3, so their report about the Riddler and Joseph Gordon-Levitt is more than pure speculation. In short, the casting gird is a data array with the roles in the film, possible actors, and scheduling needs. It shows talent availability and which roles have actually been offered out. It can also be crucial in noting what actors can cover roles other then the ones they’re primarily wanted for.

So this info lists the Riddler, and has JGL as a primary candidate marked as ‘interested’. As FirstShowing says, don’t take this as any report that Levitt is in the film, but it may be a good sign that the Riddler will be.
Easy to see how Levitt could be right for the part, and after his work in Inception it is also easy to see how Nolan would want to work with him again. Without knowing how the role is written I can project an idea of what a JGL Riddler would be like, and I dig it. (The fact that he’s a lead candidate does suggest vague possibilities about how the role is being written.)

Meanwhile, cinematographer Wally Pfister is talking once more about whether the third Batman film might feature native IMAX footage to match the IMAX sequences from The Dark Knight.
Before even getting to Batman 3, IMAX was discussed for Inception. Those who’ve seen the film will immediately understand why the bulky cameras were unsuitable — it’s a more mobile and hand-held film than The Dark Knight. “That’s just not physically possible with the IMAX camera. We ruled out shooting in IMAX,” Pfister told MTV.

But Batman 3 might use the format. In fact, it might use a lot of it. “I can’t say until I read the script, but it would certainly be my preferred, amazing goal to shoot the whole movie in IMAX,” says Pfister.
What’s the chance of that? Probably not high, even though there have been rumors since last summer that the film would be all-IMAX. But we could see a big chunk of the film shot in IMAX, at least. Pfister continues, I must say I’m a huge IMAX fan. I like IMAX more than I like 3-D…Chris’ films are so densely layered and have so much going on visually in every way that IMAX helps enhance that because of the scope and the scale of it — it becomes a much larger canvas to paint on. That’s what we found on ‘Dark Knight’…I’m not a big fan of 3-D…I liken it to my View-Master I had 40 years ago. Are you really getting more out of the story with 3-D? When you separate those different planes and you’re creating artificial depth, it looks phony to me.

So that’s a good statement on the possibility of 3D, too. Although Christopher Nolan has expressed disinterest, but also said that he’ll eventually make a 3D film when he’s pressured to by a studio. He’s said that when he does, it’ll likely be a post-conversion job as shooting in native 3D degrades the image in a way he’s not comfortable with. So will Batman 3 be post-converted? Inception is doing well, and hopefully Nolan has enough clout that he can successfully lobby to keep his three Batman films all of a piece and shoot the final chapter in a traditional format.

Lindsay Lohan Goes To Jail ‘Accepting Responsibility,’ Lawyer Says
Sheriff’s spokesperson said actress was very ‘cooperative’ as she entered detention facility.

Lindsay Lohan was stoic as she prepared to get handcuffed and taken off to Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, on Tuesday (July 20) morning. But behind that brave face was a 24-year-old who was frightened of what the next 90 days in jail would be like.

“She’s scared as anyone would be,” Lohan’s attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, said after Lohan was escorted away, according to People.com. “But she’s resolute and she’s doing it. … She asks for your prayers and support.”

Holley represented Lohan after resigning as her attorney earlier this month and being briefly replaced by by O.J. Simpson attorney Robert Shapiro, who stepped down from the case on Monday. She added that Lohan “is accepting responsibility and [has] stepped up to the plate and is doing what has been asked of her.”

Lohan will likely only serve 23 days of her 90-day term due to jail overcrowding, but it will not be easy time, as she will spend nearly 23 hours a day in a 12-by-8-foot cell by herself. In a press conference following Lohan’s transfer, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Steve Whitmore said that the actress was “extremely cooperative” during her booking into jail to serve the sentence for violating the probation on a pair of DUI cases from 2007. Whitmore said the expected length of Lohan’s incarceration would be announced later in the day.

“The crowd out here is a little unusual,” Whitmore said after Lohan was delivered to the Lynwood jail. “But inside, it’s business as usual.”

According to the Los Angeles Times, after her booking, Lohan entered the jail’s triage, where she was slated to get the standard medical and psychological evaluation. Whitmore said all the usual state guidelines for prisoners would apply to Lohan, though he stressed that “people with notoriety are kept away” from the general jail population for security purposes.

An employee at the detention center said the building went into lockdown when Lohan arrived around 10:11 a.m. PT. During that time, employees in the jail’s work-release program were asked to leave early, and inmates were held in their cells without restroom privileges or recreation time.

Teen employment levels plunge

Frustrated area teens are facing a historically horrendous summer job market — a situation setting the stage for potentially devastating long-term consequences.

The teen unemployment rate was 25.7 percent in June, more than double the nation’s 9.5 overall jobless rate.

“This could end up being the worst teen summer job market in employment records going back to 1948,” said John Challenger, CEO of Chicago outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas.

Justin Everhart, 17, hanging out at a skate park in Arlington, said he has applied for more than 30 jobs at places like skate shops, grocery stores, and hobby and handicraft stores, to no avail.

“To not have a job, it’s frustrating,” he said. “It would help and relieve so much stress on family budgets if I had a job. Coming all the way from Loudoun to here just to skate it costs a lot out of a budget just for a day.”

Just 14 percent of 16- to 19-yea-olds in the District of Columbia had jobs last year compared with 28 percent nationwide, according to research from Northeastern University. Maryland’s rate was about 30 percent and Virginia’s was about 28 percent.

“You can’t find a time in history [when] a fewer share of teens were working in June,” said Joe McLaughlin, senior research associate with the Center for Labor Market Studies at Northeastern University.

Indeed, employment among 16- to 19-year-olds grew by just 497,000 jobs in June — the lowest midsummer job growth for the group since 1951, according to a recent report from Challenger, Gray & Christmas.

Marie Martinet, 19, a Manassas resident and student at Ferrum College in Virginia, decided to do schoolwork and help out around the house– but doesn’t feel like she’s having a productive summer.

“To have my own income, that would just really motivate me and make me feel independent from my parents,” she said.

Joey Palack, 19, a Manassas resident and student at Virginia Commonwealth University, said he has applied for at least nine jobs, netting no work and just one interview. With a family vacation coming up, he stopped looking.

While penalties for teens who can’t find work might just be excessive skateboarding or free time, for others it could be more serious.

“The single most important predictor of having a job when you’re an adult is having job experience as a teenager,” said Joe Walsh, director of D.C.’s Department of Employment Services. “If teens don’t have the opportunity to work, we could lose an entire generation” of employees.

D.C’s city-sponsored summer jobs program boasts more than 21,000 participants. More than two-thirds of the youths come from Wards 5, 7 and 8 — the areas with the highest rates of unemployment, Walsh said.

In Montgomery County, the nonprofit group St. Luke’s House runs the Career Transition Program, in which workers workwith youths as old as 22 who have mental health issues to help them findjobs.

“When you’re looking at mental health consumers, they’re not successfully employed,” said Vanessa Zarou, team supervisor of the program. “Instead of matriculating into the real world, they’re at home in their parents’ basements.

“It … helps to raise confidence of students,” she added. “The earlier they learn that, the better.”
